New Community Shopping Center Breaks Ground In Huntsville, Alabama Suburb—Publix Announced As Anchor

Montgomery, Alabama - Aronov Realty Management, Inc., a Montgomery, Alabama-based real estate developer, today broke ground for Harvest Square, a new community shopping center located in the Harvest community, a fast-growing suburb of Huntsville, Alabama. The new 70,000 square foot shopping center will be anchored by a 45,600 square foot Publix Super Market and will feature other national, regional and local retailers that provide a complement of everyday goods and services. The center, situated at the intersection of Alabama Highway 53 and Jeff Road, will serve a trade area population of 34,000 in northwest Madison County, which is the 3rd most populous and 2nd wealthiest county in the State.
Groundbreaking for Harvest Square culminates a multi-year collaboration among Madison County, Harvest-Monrovia Water Sewer Authority, Alabama Department of Transportation, and Aronov. John Argo, project developer with Aronov commented, “the County was a tremendous contributor to the project over the last two years as were the State and Harvest-Monrovia in working through traffic and utility considerations. These partnerships were key to implementing Publix’s decision to bring a new store to Harvest.”
With Publix setting the stage, the center will attract another 20 businesses. Argo continued, “With the growth explosion that has occurred here in the last several years, there are a number of retailers eager to serve this suburb of Huntsville who will be making their debut at Harvest Square.”
Site preparation and construction for Harvest Square is now underway with a projected opening in October 2008.
