Aronov Brings Publix To Dothan

Montgomery, Alabama - Aronov Realty Management today announced that it has signed a lease with Publix Super Markets for a new store location in Dothan at the northeast corner of Ross Clark Circle and East Cottonwood Road (AL HWY 53).

A new 45,600 square Publix super market will anchor Cottonwood Corners, a community shopping center, which will also provide another 18,200 square feet of leasable space for 15 retail, service and food establishments. Groundbreaking is scheduled for Fall 2009 with a Fall 2010 opening planned.

Businesses at Cottonwood Corners will create 200 new jobs for Dothan. Jake Aronov, Chairman and CEO of Aronov Realty Management said, “We are proud to be working with Publix on its entry into the Dothan market. They are a leading grocery operator and will be a dynamic addition to the community.”

The commitment from Publix culminates a multi-year collaboration among Aronov, the City of Dothan, and Houston County. John Argo, project developer with Aronov commented, “The City and County were tremendous supporters of the project, as was the landowner Mr. Fred Fellows. The cooperation and partnership of these parties were key to facilitating Publix’s decision to bring a new store to this site in Dothan.”
